they come and go
these kids of ours
and say
you know mom
you know dad
you know how much we love you?
the empty nest is never really empty
I find in it the days of laughter
and some of tears
and all the fun we've had
and all the prayers we've laid before
His throne room
This empty nest is really
very full
joy overflowing
a new son
grandchildren coming
and all the days shared
that all together
fill
to
overflowing
our kids
always
God's gifts
our favourite things
Wonderful photos of your children, each amongst those/where they love. How exciting to have a new grandchild to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteYou're finally getting your quiver full, aren't you, Susan!? I smile.
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely post-and so true! My nest may be 'empty' right now-but my son and his new wife visit often, and fill our home with laughter and new memories.
ReplyDeleteYour kids sound and look like such fantastic people. :-) I'm so glad they bring you such joy. :-)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I am crying as I read and see your beauties. Just thinking of that joy of having them return to you for special times of more and more love and prayers.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and thank you for the special way you share with us!
