twenty five
but almost as old as
Mother Teresa
with love
she is twenty eight
she is sixty
she is seventy...
all these "love" people
in my life
God knows their names...
who rather than riches
and treasures
fame
or even beauty
would rather be love
they are a picture of joy to me
radiant in simple beauty
shining from within
a light
through all their cracks
of imperfection
and battlescars
more radiant
than the morning sun
the full harvest moon
or Venus
sitting sure
in
the
night
sky
a glimpse of the Father's Son
shines through these fine cracks
His glory never dulled
but cheering
and encouraging on
in the hearts of
the weary
the forgotten
the broken
"We have been created for greater things. Not just to be a number in the world, not just to go for diplomas and degrees, this work and that work. We have been created in order to love and be loved." ~Mother Teresa
To live long like Mother Teresa
and learn this truth
to be a young woman
twenty five
and live this truth
to be a young woman
twenty five
and live this truth
"His glory never dulled

Susan, you are so like your Papa in this aspect . . . cheering on, encouraging hearts.
What a great challenge this morning. It brings meaning to everything, the mundane and monotonous, as well as the glorious.
ReplyDeleteAutumn blessings.
Andrea Dawn, Rhonda, I know you will be a blessing to all you come by today <3
ReplyDeleteAll for Jesus
To love and be loved, especially by God. Joy indeed.
ReplyDeleteHaving just read the books of I and II Samuel and all the cracks in the man after God's own heart, David, I know this is true
ReplyDeletea glimpse of the Father's Son
shines through these fine cracks
What reassurance!
Dawn
