the path we take
God leads us
God leads us
where tender mercies lie
He sets his grace about us
and mercy is our guide
He sets his grace about us
and mercy is our guide
----------------------
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
~Isaiah 61:10,11
As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
~Isaiah 61:10,11
Looks like a whole field of diamonds for the bride to adorn herself with. Beautiful picture and words.

Methodism and Prebyterianism; Wesley or Calvin
Sorry, Susan, but that's what struck me here, not poetic I know.
Those spikes of glitter are gorgeous, however. We never get anything like them here.
Blessings, Dear One,
Dawn
no 'ism' at all really... just believing that the path I walk, is God's leading... and no matter what lies along the way, 'twill be for His glory...
Deletelove you Dawn
I think a lot about the paths in my life-I want them to be lit by His Word.
ReplyDeleteI love your snow. It doesn't get like that here!
Love, Debra
Wonderful Debra! What security... to know our paths are lit by His Word ... such confidence as we walk knowing Who leads the way. Though the way be rough at times, He goes with us...
DeleteThe snow and ice crystals are wonderful, yes indeed exotic to us. Our children would love to see snow one day, and they most likely will, but not in our own location. There is beauty and Love in every place, to brighten each day.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that true my Sunshine friend! Beauty and love in every place!
DeleteWow - that is an amazing photo of the ice crystals along the way!
ReplyDeleteLady-Fi, it is so exciting through these winter days, and we have many, to come out each morning and see the wonders of God's hand... not new flowers in bloom, but the cold in the hands of the Master sculptor and each new Masterpiece, each day different!
DeleteI love...the path we take leads us to tender mercies....mercy is our guide...just beautiful...and the picture is breath taking...
ReplyDeleteeven in the moonlight these jewels sparkle to light a path...Jesus... always enough!
DeleteDear Lady-Fi, first of all I want to thank you for your visit on my blog and your kind comment. Out of pure curiosity I came to your blog and was immedialy attracted by your beautiful winter photo in this post! I was curious to learn more about where you live and scrolled down and saw pictures from your snow covered world and also learned about your fate as suggested in the chapel scene. I was also excited about the beauty of your poetic language. I especially loved the scene when you go out into the open at -35°C and breathe in the cold winter air! And what fascinates me very much is that you seem to live in a secluded plase with animals around. I hope to see you again and I send you my best wishes for your treatment. Hugs from Vienna, Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, nice to have a visit from "Vienna"!
DeleteThe treatment is for my friend Danielle... if you could keep her in your prayers. I ache with her but I am well. You can check her amazing story at http://www.facebook.com/pages/NewLife-A-New-Beginning/271762069554170
